2009.08.12 Amazing vegetables

I was surprised to see these shiny vegetables, which were gifts from a great farm family.

Today I went to Fukui 福井 with my husband to visit the family. At their house, We enjoyed Japanese style home cuisine, which was so delicious with their warm welcome.

After that, I went to see the family’s fields where vegetables and rice were grown.

Their works in their fields are totally a kind of art embodying the beauty by every day’s efforts with advanced techniques and warm hearts.

Unfortunately, it’s rare to find a shop where you can get such great vegetables in Tokyo.
If you want rather nice ones in Tokyo, I recommend Natural House at Omotesando表参道.
